Personal Growth Coaching
“The word ‘transformative’ gets thrown around a lot in personal growth. But this really has been transformative — for me, my life, and my relationships. And those relationships are the key to happiness, I think.”
— BB, Senior Firefighter
What Personal Growth Coaching is About
Are you looking to get more from life?
Have you realised that real joy comes from within?
Do you want to live with more meaning — and feel more like yourself?
The Personal Growth Coaching I offer supports you in three main areas:
- Developing deeper self-confidence and self-trust
- Expanding your capacity for enjoyment and flow
- Finding greater inner space and composure
All of these ultimately lead to more satisfaction, better relationships, and better results — not by striving harder, but by becoming more fully yourself.
The River of Life
A simple way of understanding Deep Personal Growth is as a process of opening up to the flow of life.

Every time a person tenses up or stresses out or goes into self-doubt, a constriction is put on the flow of life energy moving through them.
Deep growth is about gradually allowing your mind and body to more deeply trust — and enjoy — the flow of life moving through you — your own excitement, your energy for projects, your bonds of relationship, pleasure and satisfaction.
What’s involved is building a greater inner capacity to say "yes" — to yourself.

Three Key Areas of Growth
1. Developing deeper self-confidence and self-trust
So much of personal growth is about more deeply trusting your own perceptions, decisions, and inner rhythm.
This isn’t about becoming louder or more pushy — it’s about feeling solid in who you are, even when life is uncertain.
Together we explore how you see the world, uncover where doubt takes hold, and help you build a deep and trusting relationship with yourself.
2. Expanding your capacity for enjoyment and flow
How much pleasure are you experiencing right now?
Many people live with a quiet background tension that blocks their capacity for pleasure, ease, or spontaneity.
Our work helps release those inner constraints — so you can experience more enjoyment, energy, and creative flow in your day-to-day life.
As this happens, life begins to feel more vivid.
You experience deeper moments of connection and meaning.
And joy becomes a more regular part of life.
3. Finding greater inner space and composure
Inner space doesn’t mean having no stress — it means not being swallowed by it.
We build the capacity to pause, to feel, and to choose how you respond — rather than react.
This is a kind of superpower in life. It helps you find better outcomes, more of the time, even in difficult situations.
The most influential person is often the one who’s most composed.
And that kind of influence doesn’t come from control — it comes from knowing who you are, and appreciating the difference between yourself and others.
Trauma-Informed: I have extensive training and experience in helping people resolve trauma. It’s not uncommon for past experiences to surface when working on deep personal growth — and if they do, I can help you navigate them safely and effectively.
This can be a meaningful part of the journey — and often, a quiet source of deep relief.
How I Coach
1. Sessions focus on what’s present and real in your life right now
Growth is not an abstract concept. Opportunities for the kind of growth I support people with exist in your relationships, in challenges you face, in your goals, in places you're stuck, and also in how you move, how you feel, how you rest, and eat, and sleep.
You can bring any challenge, goal, or situation to a session, and I will support you in using this as an avenue for expanding into deeper self-trust, ease and composure.
2. What are you up to?
A fundamental orientation I take in life is this: people are up to something.
Every one of us has a yearning to express themselves more truly. To feel more alive. To find greater enjoyment and satisfaction. To be a part of something bigger than themselves.
The coaching I do presupposes a natural developmental drive towards these things. The River of Life is always flowing through you.
Consequently, there is a spirit of awe and wonder that I hold about coaching and the human condition.
The process is as much about being yourself as it is about more deeply becoming yourself. And you don't truly know where it will lead at the outset, but there's a deep trust that it'll be good.
3. Deepening into the physical body & Deepening relationships
Firstly, every meaningful step of growth comes with a deepening into your physical being.
This doesn't mean you have to adopt any particular kind of physical practice. But our work will always be orienting you more deeply into your physical form. This is done through tracking emotional shifts that occur in your body, and using these to support a deepening connection to yourself.
As this happens, people often find a renewed enjoyment and meaning in physical activities they engage in - whether that's a sport, martial art, hiking, meditation, yoga or something else entirely.
Secondly, growth is always social. No one exists in a vacuum.
Whether talked about directly or not, your relationships are part of the work: with partners, children, friends, colleagues, and clients. The aim is to support you in finding richer, more honest, and more satisfying ways of being in connection.
